- Certificate Validity
- Scheme-specific — confirmed during scope review
- Local Rep Required
- Confirmed during scope review
Overview
Certain Malaysian and regional regulatory schemes require an appointed local entity — a local representative, authorised representative, or certificate holder — before an approval can be issued or a product can be placed on the market. AECS can act in this capacity where the scheme permits it and the project qualifies.
What AECS does
- Confirms whether the applicable scheme requires a local representative or certificate holder
- Reviews eligibility for AECS (or a partner entity) to act in that capacity
- Manages the appointment and ongoing regulatory responsibilities where applicable
