Singapore
Southeast Asia
Singapore enforces rigorous product safety and telecommunications standards administered by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Enterprise Singapore (ESG). Controlled goods under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations require registration and carry a mandatory Safety Mark. Telecom and radio equipment requires IMDA type approval. AECS navigates both schemes and manages the Registered Supplier obligations on your behalf.

Regulatory landscape
Singapore’s product safety framework is administered by Enterprise Singapore under the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Regulations 2011. Controlled goods — including household electrical appliances, electronic toys, and personal protective equipment — must be registered and display the SAFETY mark before they may be supplied in Singapore.
IMDA administers telecommunications equipment type approval under the Telecommunications Act. Products with radio transmission capabilities (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, 5G modules) require IMDA approval prior to import and sale.
